Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. Similar techniques, such as local storage, work slightly differently but fall under the same rules. Below you can read what we store and why.

We set clerqly_lang on your first visit based on your browser’s language setting, and update it as soon as you pick a language yourself.
user_session and mfa_pending only exist if you have an account and sign in. They are HttpOnly, so scripts cannot read them, and they serve no purpose beyond recognising your session.
These four need no consent: without this storage the site cannot remember your choices and you cannot stay securely signed in.
Everything below is off by default and is a separate choice: you can accept one purpose and refuse another. We place nothing until you switch that purpose on in the cookie banner.

Zoho PageSense makes session recordings: it captures how you interact with a page, such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolling and moving between pages. That shows us where visitors get stuck.
We do not link those recordings to your name or email address, and we use them only to improve the site. The recordings are stored with Zoho in the EU.
We only measure on our public pages: the homepage, the page about meeting minutes and the terms. Not in your dashboard, not during checkout and not on the sign-in pages. Those show your billing details and the contents of your minutes, which have no place in a recording. Switch visitor analytics off and the script loads nowhere, so nothing is recorded.

The chat runs only on our public pages: not in your dashboard, not during checkout and not on the sign-in pages.
What you type in the chat ends up with Zoho in the EU and is used to answer your question. Switch the chat off and the widget does not load, so the button does not appear.
We do not measure which ad leads to a sign-up. No advertising pixel from Meta, Google or LinkedIn runs on this site, which is why there is no tick box for it in the cookie banner.
If that measurement ever arrives, the tick box will appear in the banner first, switched off, and we will only place anything once you switch it on yourself. Consent given earlier does not count for a purpose you were never shown.
When you take out a subscription, you complete the payment on Mollie’s secure payment page. When you connect Clerqly to Microsoft 365 to collect your meetings and deliver your notes, you sign in with Microsoft itself. Those pages set their own cookies, for instance to complete your payment or your sign-in safely.
Those cookies belong to a service you request yourself and therefore fall outside the choices in the cookie banner. We do not place them and cannot switch them off for you. What Mollie and Microsoft record themselves is set out in their own privacy statements.
Sovereignty is not an afterthought here. A few things you will not find:
The button below reopens your choices so you can adjust or withdraw them at any time. Withdrawing is just as easy as giving.
Switch a purpose off and the page reloads, so a script that was already running stops immediately. Cookies placed earlier by Zoho can be removed through your browser.
